Restaurants in the Area

Advice from Megan A. about restaurants in the area:

These are easy to get into/out of and don't cost an arm and leg like rosa's or the smith.
Here you go in no particular order:

PJ Clarke's- American, burgers, salads, just about anything, menu is HUGE, in my opinion over priced for their quality  (we ate here after em's show)
915 3rd Ave
New York, NY 10022
Phone number (212) 317-1616

Le Pain Quotidien- breakfast items, salads, flat bread type sandwiches, soups (chicken is excellent) yummy breads and spreads
60 W 65th St
New York, NY 10023
Phone number (212) 721-4001

wichcraft- soups/salads...not really a resturant, in the atrium of a building, with few chairs...people usually order take-out and eat outside, but very good, tasty food i.e. brie, ham, apple, on raisin bread w/ musturd, etc.
61 W 62nd St
New York, NY 10023

Indie food and wine- quiet, quaint little place (orange building on the outside) actually connected to the movie theatre....soups/salads/sandwichs

Cafe Fiorello- Italian i.e. pizza and anit-pasta...outdoor seating if its nice. probably the most expensive on the list, i've never been, but i know a lot of groups go there before the show or after
1900 Broadway

Luce Restaurant- Italian

Vive le Crepe- not just sweet crepes, chicken with mushrooms and cheese or ham and gruyere, etc. but of course the nutella and strawberry or banana, etc. its next to an excellent coffee shop, Joe's much, much better than starbucks:-)
189 Columbus avenue
(btwn 68th and 69th on columbus)

Or, at Columbus circle, Whole Foods- sandwiches, soup, hot bar, sushi, pre-made sides, etc.

  1. Thanks Sian and Megan! This is great. I didn't know the crepes place had non- dessert dishes.
